Stand Up for Safe Families Paddle Parade
Texas Rowing Center, Austin, Texas
The 4th Annual Stand Up For Safe Families event is an awareness event for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Show up at the Texas Rowing Center on the North side of Lady Bird Lake at 5:30p and we will provide you with a free kayak, canoe or standup board rental. Don’t forget to wear purple for awareness!

The Louisville 50
Westport to West Point, Kentucky
The Louisville 50 is adventure race/float  on the first Saturday of October, every year. You can paddle, row or sail the entire 50 miles or any segment – from checkpoint to checkpoint. All paddlers are encouraged to participate. 

Flow the St. Joe
Spencerville to Leo-Cedarville, Indiana
This is a recreational paddle and self-guided tour of the St. Joseph River from Spencerville to Leo-Cedarville. Begin your 4 to 5 hour trip by checking in between 10:30 and 11:30. Transportation, box lunch, water and educational materials are included in the registration fee of $15 per adult or two adults for $25.

October 4 – 5
Gerry Lopez Rainbow Sandals’ Battle of the Paddle
Salt Creek Beach, Dana Point, California
After six epic years, ‘BOP’ moves to a new venue a few miles up the coast, Salt Creek Beach. The weekend will include all the BOP favorites, from a huge expo with demos, to entertainment and multiple races, including an elite race, recreational race, kids race, team relays, and a distance race that takes competitors to Laguna Beach and back.

Nooksa River Slalom
Glacier, Washington
The League of Northwest Whitewater Racers is an all-volunteer group of paddlers in the Pacific Northwest. Under the auspices of the American Canoe Association, US Canoe&Kayak, and the Washington Kayak Club, the League organizes wildwater races and races and training clinics in whitewater slalom. 

October 5
River Rocks Canoe & Kayak Races
Chattanooga, Tennessee
A 3 and 6-mile race up and back. There are no obstructions in the river. There will be a festival and other events afterwards.

October 10 – 12
SUWS Finals
North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii
The Standup World Series wraps up on Oahu’s North Shore at Turtle Bay Resort after a year-long journey with seven stops through five countries. The competitors will race sprint and distance courses with the world champion determined by points from the events earlier in the year.

US SUP Tour Stop #3
Hermosa Beach/Redondo Beach, California
The final of three stops, the US SUP Tour’s Hermosa/Redondo Beach event will feature Elite (5- to 6-km course) and Open racing (4- to 5-km course) and an SUP surfing competition.

October 11
Island to Island Waterman Relay
Santa Barbara Island, California
A 28-mile relay for paddleboard, outrigger canoe and SUP (14′ only) teams. The course takes you from Santa Barbara Island to The Isthmus on Catalina Island. Race with some of the best!

Suwannee River Race Challenge & Marathon
White Springs, Florida
There are two races, a 26-mile and a 52-mile race. The 26-mile race starts at highway 6 and ends in White Springs, FL. The 52-mile race starts in Fargo, GA and ends in White Springs, FL. It is on moving water that has no obstacles. A shuttle service is provided.

Sarasota SUP Race Series’ Race 3 
Sarasota Sailing Squadron, Sarasota, Florida
The final race of the Sarasota SUP Race Series includes a 7-mile elite race, 3-mile recreational race, and a grom race. Experience the bay, mangroves and canals of Lido and Bird Keys in this challenging and picturesque race. This Series Finale determines the winners for each division, as well as the Series Paddle title and bragging rights for the next year.

Golden Nugget SUP Race
Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina
The Golden Nugget Race will be split into a Short Course 5k and a Long Course 10k. The 5k will allow 12′ and under, 12’6 and 14ft, while the 10k allows 12’6″, 14′, over 14′ boards and traditional/prone. Both 5k and 10k will have a division for paddlers 50 + with board length- Open. This year, the event will offer a youth race immediately following the adult races. Age categories are 10 and under and 11-15, both co-ed. There is no restriction on board length in either category. This is a WPA sanctioned event, with proceeds benefitting One-Eighty Place (formerly Crisis Ministries).

Phatwater Challenge
Natchez, Mississippi
42.5 mile canoe and kayak race on the Mississippi River held on the second Saturday of October.

Cranberry Bog Paddlefest
Buckeye Lake, Ohio
Paddle Fest participants will navigate from the North Bank Boat Dock to Cranberry Bog.

October 17-18
The 100 Mile Paddle
Los Angeles to San Diego, California
This is the ultimate multi-day charity adventure paddle race in California, taking place from LA to San Diego. This event is open to standup paddlers, prone paddlers, surf skis, marathon canoes, OC-1, OC-2 and 6-man outrigger teams. You can participate as a solo paddler or as a two-, three- or four-person relay team. This is a self-supported race, which means you and your team are responsible for your support boats/vehicles.

October 17-19
Moose Fest
Moose River, Old Forge, NY
New York’s Premiere Whitewater event! Each October whitewater enthusiasts gather in Old Forge to paddle the Moose. Mountainman hosts and organizes clinics and outings all weekend long. We bring in whitewater and industry professionals to teach and lead trips.

October 18
Paddle Bayou
La Batre, Alabama
Paddlers will have an up-close and personal experience of being on a true working bayou, lined with shipyards, shrimpboats, oyster skiffs, and scenic natural vistas. Experience and learn about the bayou’s history as you traverse the waters. Paddle under the vertical lift bridge, one of Bayou La Batre’s landmarks. Enjoy Bayou cuisine afterwards. The trip is approximately 6 miles with an option to take out at 2.5 miles.

October 25
150th Anniversary of Cushing’s Escape Paddle
Plymouth, North Carolina
Join the Washington County Historical Society and the Roanoke River Waterways Commission for a special paddling event on October 25th! In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the sinking of CSS Albemarle, paddle your way down Conaby Creek – the escape route of the Albemarle’s young daredevil destructor, Commander William B. Cushing.

3rd Annual Chattajack 31 Race
Chattanooga, Tennessee
The South’s 31-mile race downriver is back for its third year. Paddlers will race from Coolidge Park to Hales Bar Marina on Nickajack Lake before taking in all the fun at the River Rocks Festival. Most paddlecrafts welcome. Chattajack.com

5th Annual Midwest SUP Masters
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
This family-friendly event includes Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) inspired activities and demos. Starting friday withe a Paddle Clinic and get together . Races on Saturday: Short Race, Long Race, and Kids 1 Mile, Pooch Race, with other activities throughout the day. Sunday: Yoga on the beach, social paddle, swap and demo.

100 Mile Paddle: NYC 2014
New York, New York
This is a two-day adventure paddle race for relay teams and elite paddlers.

The Butterfly Effect

Carolina Beach SUP Challenge

3-mile race and 1-mile fun challenge around the Carolina Beach Yacht Basin with all proceeds supporting Ocean Cure, a local 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to giving free surf lessons to medically fragile and at risk youth and adults.

Paddle for Tomorrows

Standup paddle board race 100% benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Enjoy awesome races, recreational paddling, plus free food and entertainment at the after party! Round the Rock Race & Expo
Seattle, Washington
Test your speed against some of the top paddlers on the planet as you paddle 13 miles around Mercer Island. The Elite Paddlers will be competing for big prize money in the unique “Sweep or Weep” format, where various board length classes try to steal the purse from those on longer boards.

Nemacolin Trace Parkersburg Paddlefest 
Parkersburg, West Virginia
Enjoy a beautiful paddle down to the historic Blennerhasset Island. Tour the Blennerhassets Mansion, camp on the Island, Friday and Saturday nights.  The river will be shut down Saturday morning from all power boats.

September 13
Wai Kekoa Water Warrior Festival
Camp Pendleton, California
Join Marines and water athletes in 5K and 10K distance races, or the famous Amphibious Assault Race (Elite and Open Races). Battle your way through the exclusive Camp Pendleton waters where Elite racers will tackle a loop course that includes both surf and flat water, while the Open age group loop is exclusively on flat water. The Amphibious Assault courses include water and land obstacles to determine the ultimate Water Warrior Champion.

Hope Floats Paddle Classic
West Palm Beach, Florida
Our unique event will take place on September 13th and will include paddle crafts from every variety including, outrigger canoes, surf skis, prone paddleboard and stand-up paddleboards. The elite paddle race will consist of 6 miles and 6 technical turns through the palm beach intracoastal. Our spectator friendly course will stretch from the Okeechobee bridge to Flagler Memorial as racers will be paddling fast for cash and giving hope to three amazing charities. $2000 in Prizes!

Ku’ono Paddle Series
Hampton, Virginia
The East Coast Ultimate Paddle Challenge brings SUP Racing to Virginia’s peninsula with the Kuʻono Paddle Series. Coursing through the Hampton River, where the infamous Blackbeard’s head was displayed, racers will compete in 12 mile, 6 mile, and 2 mile events. For SUPs, kayaks, and canoes.

One Square Mile of Hope – 2014 Guinness World Record Event
Inlet, NY
The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks and the One Square Mile of Hope 2014 committee have formed a strategic partnership with the goal of retaking the record while again raising funds to help with breast cancer research and awareness.

September 13 – 14
2014 US SUP Tour Final Stop
Huntington Beach, California
Two days of competition will include both open and technical racing as well as a surf competition to decide the members of Team USA.

September 14
Tahoe Fall Classic
Lake Tahoe, California
The 22-miler wraps up the SUP series with a bang. The final race of the three-part series has racers take off from South Lake Tahoe’s Camp Richardson, racing to Kings Beach in North Lake Tahoe. After the long haul, participants and spectators can enjoy food and drink, demos and an awards ceremony.

Great Peconic Race
Shelter Island, NY
Great Peconic Race is an expedition paddle race circumnavigating Shelter Island, NY, located between the North and South Forks of Long Island. The race honors Ted Baldwin’s love for the bays and proceeds will be donated in support Rogue Wave Foundation work to help east end children build confidence and self esteem

September 15 – 21
Huntington Beach Pro Grand Slam
Huntington Beach, California
The Standup World Tour and Series come together for a week of racing in sprints and distance events, and competitive surfing. The competitors will be stepping up their game as the Finals at Turtle Bay is all that will remain after the SoCal stop.

September 17 – 21
Whitewater Slalom World Championships
McHenry, Maryland
The Adventure Sports Center International is the prestigious venue for the event and is the Only Mountaintop re-circulating whitewater course in the World. Be a part of history!  Olympic level athletes from over 35 countries will be competing for the Gold! This is the 25 year anniversary of the 1989 World Championship in Garrett County, Maryland and only the second time in history this event has been held in the United States.

September 19 – 20
American Whitewater’s Biggest Fundraiser!
All proceeds from the festival support American Whitewater’s river conservation and access works throughout the nation. Started in 1983 to celebrate the derailment of a hydro-electric project that would have disrupted the flows on the Gauley River, Gauley Fest has grown to become the largest paddling festival in the world.  The festival will feature live entertainment, a whitewater marketplace, raffle, and a silent auction where you can pick up some awesome outdoor gear. Come out and join us for a weekend of great paddling, exciting camaraderie, live entertainment, killer boat raffles, and the infamous silent auction.

Muddy Run Canoe/Kayak Race

There are three different courses and over 40 different classes for canoes and kayaks. This race is for all skill levels.

Urban Kai King and Queen of the Bay
Tampa, Florida
Urban Kai King and Queen of the Bay features a long-distance elite race, a 3-mile recreational race, a Kids’ race, sprint races, and beachside after party with live music.

Junior Waterman Challenge and Ocean Fest
Sarasota, Florida
This is a youth only SUP race for ages 5-17. All levels of paddlers are welcome. Great prizes for all races! Stay for Ocean Fest too—Ocean conservation groups, vendors, food and lots of fun water themed activities.

Triple Crown of the Upper Keys
Tavernier, Florida
A 3-race series featuring the best unique paddling environment of the Upper Keys. Involves paddling through both mangrove creeks and through open water. 

2014 Battle of the Bay 
San Francisco, California
Stand Up Paddling will take over the San Francisco Bay in the 4th Annual Battle Of The Bay Race and Expo! This year in addition to SUP & Prone Paddleboarding, we are inviting our OC1 friends to join us! Our new location at the East Beach at Crissy Field in the Presidio National Park will make this awesome race even more exciting as we take on the San Francisco Bay!

Butterfly Effect (BE) Movement
Coronado, California
A non-competitive event for water women of every level. Events include a non-competitive paddle, SUP Yoga post-paddle, a catered luau, and sponsor giveaways. Paddle with Roxy’s Gillian Gibree and meet other pros in the industry.

September 26 – 28
2014 Lake Murray SUP Classic
Lexington County, SC
In its third year, this event features clinics, races for all skill levels, parties and even a SUP swap meet. The Lake Murray SUP Classic is part of the Southern Stoke Race Series, a summer series of races set in rivers and lakes throughout the Southeast. Race proceeds benefit South Carolina Special Olympics.
West End Loop Paddleboard Race – Two Harbors, California

September 27
West End Loop Paddleboard Race

This unique and adventurous 16mi course will take both prone and SUP athletes around the rural and rugged west end of Catalina Island, beginning and ending in the town of Two Harbors.

Island Paddle’s G-Bay Paddle Race 2014

The Island Paddle Race Series was created to bring the paddling community together to share the love of the water by providing competitive and family friendly race events. Shark River Paddle Battle

The Second Annual Shark River Paddle Battle is a Non-Profit paddle race and event benefitting Mary’s Place by the Sea and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. August 2
Neches Wilderness Race

Frankston, TX
Good old Texas heat and another great day of adventure on the Neches River. Canoeists and Kayakers, young and old, expert and beginner, are expected out in large numbers for our annual fund raiser for Trinity Valley Community College special needs scholarship fund. Volunteers will see the racers safely through to the finish line and the cold refreshments, watermelon, hamburgers, and hot dogs that await them.

Paddle Grapple
Bryson City, NC
This multi-discipline event offers participants a 3 and 6 mile option, both of which circumnavigate two islands near the Tsali Recreational Area. Enjoy the cool water and views of Great Smoky Mountains National Park as you race SUP, Surfski, marathon, or recreational kayaks and canoes on beautiful Fontana Lake. After the race, participants and families are invited to try whitewater SUP for free.

Savannah Paddlefest
Augusta, GA
8.5 mile race on Savannah River. First 4 miles has shoals and class I & II rapids. The last 4.5 miles is deep water. Shuttle service provided. Canoe and Kayak Race will include 2 classes: Open Race (for serious racers) and Recreation Race will field C1 and K1, male and female, C2 and K2, male, female and mixed classes. SUP Race offers an Open class and Stock Surf class. The Raft Competition is meant to be fun for all, participants and spectators with prizes for design, originality, and first across the finish line. LakeFest 2014: Raft-a-Palooza
Laconia, NH
Help prevent the spread of aquatic nuisance plants and animals and be part of our attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest canoe and kayak raft on a single body of water.

Kensington Canoe and Kayak Race
Kensington Metropark, near Milford/Brighton, MI
The third annual Canoe and Kayak Race begins and concludes at the West Boat Launch of Kent Lake. The race is open to all skill levels, single and double kayaks, and is divided as follows: surf skis – 12 miles; 14 ‘ -17’ boats – 7 miles; under 14’ ,  tandem canoes – 5 miles.

August 12-15
9th Annual Missouri River 340
Kansas City, MO
The Missouri 340 is an endurance race across the state of Missouri. Competitors will start in Kansas City and finish (some of them anyway) in St. Charles. With numerous towns and hamlets, the course offers plenty of opportunity for resupply while enroute. The Missouri River is also incredibly scenic and isolated in some stretches, with wildlife and beautiful vistas to rival any river in North America.
Participants are allowed exactly 88 hours to complete the course. Required safety meeting – August 11.

August 16
Yankton Riverboat Days Kayak Run
Yankton, SD
This fun-run style six-miler is all about community and speed! Come join the fun on a unique short hop in history-rich Yankton, South Dakota during its biggest gathering of the year!

16th Annual Cape Cod Against the Tide Event
Brewster, MA
The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) will be holding their annual Against the Tide swim, walk, run, kayak fundraising event. 7:00 am to 12:00 noon. The morning event consists of a competitive and recreational swim, kayak, walk, and run component, and an Aquathlon – a competitive 1-mile swim and 5K or 10K run.

Bayou La Batre Kayak Classic
Bayou La Batre, AL
Kayak Fishing Tournament divisions are
Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, White Trout, and “Triple Threat”

Floatzilla 2014
Rock Island, IL
The morning is for paddling the Quad Cities Water Trails on the Mississippi River from one of five launch sites to Lake Potter in Rock Island, IL. You can also put-in at Lake Potter to enjoy food, music, and a paddlesports tradeshow. At 2:00 p.m. everyone will gather for a traditional group photo and an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest raft of canoes and kayaks.

WCHA Upper Great Lakes Regional Assembly
Shell Lake, WI
The Wooden Canoe Heritage Association Upper Great Lakes Chapter will host its Assembly on the shores of Shell Lake with a wooden boat show, demonstrations, vendors, canoe trips, and swap meet. Aug 16-18
Ladies of the Lake Sea Kayak Symposium
Grand Marais, MI
“Women Kayaking with Women for Women.” The beautiful waters of Lake Superior will provide a great place for participants of all abilities to hone their skills. During the symposium there will be instructional courses, clinics on a variety of kayaking related topics, interesting and inspiring slide shows, as well as opportunities to try out the latest and greatest paddling gear and clothing. Trips will explore the local shoreline as well as the world-class destination Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

August 22-24
WI Charity Kayak Race
St. Germain, Wisconsin
A relaxing weekend of silent water sports, yoga and food demos. Friday kicks off with evening drum circle; all day activities Saturday include kayak race; and activities all day Sunday end at 4 pm.

August 23
Night Float Tube Fishing and Kayaking
Castaic, CA
Night time kayaking on Lower Lake 7:00 P.M. to midnight. Lake is small but great for work out, carving practice or wild life viewing. L.A. county Lifeguard on duty with boat. All proceeds go to friends of castaic that distributes to many charities. Sit-on-top kayaks can be rented: call ahead.

Cow Harbor Paddlefest
Northport – Long Island, New York
Exciting fundraising event for kayaks and SUPs benefiting the Northport Fire Department. There will something for everyone at this exciting fundraising event from the elite racers to the family and friends cheering from the shore. In addition to the paddling activities, there will be stand up paddle board and kayak representatives, demonstrations, vendors, music and food. 6 mile race, 3 mile recreational, 1 mile kids. This event will be hosted by and benefit the Northport Volunteer Fire Department.

August 23-24
Oyster The Race
Denver, CO
Oyster The Race is the ultimate urban hybrid race, sending teams of 2-6 racers out on a mystery course around the city. Now heading into its 9th season, Oyster is the longest running “urban adventure race” in the USA. The courses can range from 15-30 miles and 3-6 hours, providing an endurance level to suit all apetites. Oyster has an uncanny ability to combine athleticism with thought provoking strategy. While you “may not” get burned or covered in mud, teams can be seen running, biking, kayaking, rock climbing and performing crazy stunts while solving city and sponsor specific clues in a race to the finish line. Racers can then spend the rest of their afternoon reminiscing about their day of adventure, mistakes, sweat, awesomeness and discovering the city.

Race for the Rivers
St. Charles, MO
Events include a two-stage, 65-mile paddle along the Missouri River for serious canoeist and kayakers; a 41-mile race; a laid back 20-mile trip; and a 25-mile race Sunday. Race for the Rivers Festival will take place in St. Charles Saturday.

August 30
Paddle for Parkinson’s
Corpus Christi, TX
A five-mile kayak/stand up paddle board relay through the canals of Padre Island/Corpus Christi that can be paddled solo or in teams.
1.25 miles per leg makes it attractive to the novice, as well as the experienced paddler.  Proceeds benefit Parkinson’s patients.
